BRIBERY COMMISSION ASKED TO INVESTIGATE SLMC
Bribery Commission asked to investigate SLMC

A complaint has been filed by the Bribery and Corruption Commission against alleged financial mismanagement and fraud at the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC).

A group of government medical officers filed the complaint this morning (February 1).

 

Some of the allegations include large scale financial mismanagement with regards to the purchase of a property worth Rs.58 million in 2010 and medical students’ money being used for foreign trips for the SLMC authorities and their families.
