Forged documents racket exposed


Two persons have been arrested over the involvement in a racket where vehicles were being pawned through forged documents.

Speaking to Newsfirst, police stated that a group of officers attached to the intelligence unit of the
Western Province had arrested the two suspects yesterday.

They were residents of the Ragama and Pasyala areas.

In addition, police noted that the two suspects had also been carrying out a racket where land was being sold through forged deeds.

The suspects will be produced before the Homagama Magistrate today.
