THREE WHEELER DRIVER NABBED WITH EXPLOSIVES HAUL

A three wheeler driver has been arrested in the town of Kurundugahahetekma in Elpitiya while transporting a large explosives stock.

Police said that two gunny bags of ammonia, each weighing 25kg, were discovered in the possession of the suspect along with 50 Gelignite Sticks and 50 detonators.

While the suspect, who was taken into custody last night, has been placed remand custody further investigations are being carried out, Elpitiya Assistant superintendent of police (ASP) told Ada Derana.
