PAKISTANI NATIONAL ARRESTED AT AIRPORT WITH 42 PACKETS OF HEROIN
Pakistani national arrested at Airport with 42 packets of heroin

A Pakistani national was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) for attempting to bring several packets of heroin into the country. The suspect had swallowed the packets of heroin in order to enter the country undetected.

The Airport Narcotics Bureau arrested the suspect arriving from Karachi upon information that it had received.

 

42 packets of heroin were recovered from the suspect after he was taken to the Negombo hospital, the Police Media Unit stated.

 

Further investigations are being conducted by the BIA Narcotics Bureau.
