While welcoming Sri Lankan government's work to quickly resettle nearly 280,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) following the three-decade long conflict in May 2009, the United States said today that it remains concerned about the rushed resettlement of the final IDPs to close the Menik Farm camp.

One of the quintuplets born at the Kandy Hospital on October 15 died today, W.G.A. Dissanayaka the Director Kandy Hospital said. He added that the deceased was the male child born last and weighed 535g.
